New Watch

My Garmin Forerunner 305 finally died this past week and so it was time to get a new GPS watch. I went with the 405 w/o the heart rate monitor. I got to where I never wore the heart rate monitor with my 305 so I figured I didn't need the option with my new one. Besides I think I have run enough and know my body well enough to feel where I am with regards to different zones. I had my 305 for about 4 years and it was great know how far I had run, what my pace was at any moment and being able to log all those runs. I'm not sure I would be able to train not having that information on my wrist. I do like the fact that it looks more like a real watch and has the time available. I probably won't wear it except during training runs, but it will be nice to have if I need to go straight from a run to another function without changing watches.

Lucy Park

Was up in Wichita Falls working and found a great place to run. It is a concrete trail but there are tons of trees and shade and it run next to the Wichita river. Went running around 6pm and it was great having the shade to run in, never get that on my afternoon runs at home. A little over 8 months until RR100 so it's nice to get back into the running.
